Kickstarter Release!
By this time, you’ve probably noticed our Kickstarter video that has found it’s way on to the home page of our website. There’s also a cool little widget on the sidebar that shows our progress towards our goal of raising $18,500 by December 4th. And we need to reach that fundraising goal in order for our expedition to be successful! Kickstarter is all or nothing, so if we don’t hit $18,500 by the 4th, we’re kinda out of luck.
So share our Kickstarter around with friends, family, and anyone that you think might be interested in what we’re doing. We need as much support and as many small donations as possible. Here is the link to our Kickstarter fundraising platform.
In other news, Grant and I are now living aboard our 37-foot sailboat, a Tartan 37c, in Galesville, Maryland. We’ve been busy doing some minor repairs and organizing and outfitting the boat with the equipment we’ll need to head south. Things have been a bit chilly, but Brian, a fellow sailor and friend of mine, dropped by today and in addition to giving us some good advice on our diesel engine, lent us his electric heater. At left is a picture of Grant and I aboard the Tartan during her sea trial a few weeks ago.
